The GALERIE BEI DER ALBERTINA was founded in 1973 by Christa Zetter and specialises in Austrian art from the 20th Century up to modern day. The gallery is located in Vienna's old town, close to the State Opera House. The gallery's extensive collection is displayed over three spacious floors. Christa Zetter has always focused on high-quality art works from the Art Nouveau period, as well as work from the Wiener Werkstätte. The Galerie bei der Albertina offers a wide selection of Austrian classical modernist paintings and sculptures, as well as Contemporary art. Throughout the year the gallery presents exhibitions devoted to individual artists or with a specific focus or theme. Most exhibitions are also accompanied by publications. The gallery also exhibits a selection of works each year at the two leading Austrian art and antique fairs: in the Residenz Salzburg at Easter and in the Hofburg, Vienna in November. Works are also presented at 'Art Austria' in the Leopold Museum and at 'Art Salzburg' in the Residenz Salzburg.
